The line about Alice remembering the trip to the zoo near the end was what made me start crying shamelessly. She obviously has no idea of the significance of what Steven claimed to have seen, and neither will Jack, but we do, and that packed a huge emotional punch.

All the way around, this was beautiful, and I can completely see this being the way that it would play out in the show. Everything was spot on, from Alice's grief and gradual forgiveness, to Jack's various outlooks depending on where he is in his own timeline, to all the little throwaway type things from Torchwood and Doctor Who sprinkled about.

Very touching, heartbreaking, and heartwarming all at once. Well done!
