Summary: As much as she wanted to pull her blaster, or even a lightsaber, it wasn’t feasible. The Emperor was too politically powerful, had been since before the Invasion of Naboo. Sheev Palpatine was a corrupt bastard, she just needed to find the evidence. And reveal it in a way that he couldn’t escape from.
Notes: Leia time travels from her death in TROS to the time between TPM and AOTC. it's a fix-it but this is all I have, not a full fic. Maybe someday when RL agrees.

Notes: Snippets of a Dark!Hermione fic I started a decade ago when I was still into HP and before She Who Must Not Be Named went to the dark side. (It's only fun in fiction, it's a dick move in real life.) I found it on my hard drive recently and realized it didn't need much revising to be postable. This is all there is to this. I don't even really remember where the story was going, except dark side and possibly Voldemort/Hermione. Summary: The helmet and the voice gave no details about the man’s age, but it made Cobb feel every one of his fifty-two years. He remembered a time most of the galaxy knew about the Jedi, even if it was just from exaggerated stories.
Notes: Realized Cobb is about the same age as Anakin (and Greedo and Grogu) and was a slave on Tatooine too. I expanded out the little bit I put on tumblr. It's just a short snippet set during Chapter 9, when Cobb and Din are driving through the desert, before they run into the Tuskens.

Notes: Another abandoned start that is being cleaned off the hard drive. Title comes from an unpublished play Doyle wrote based on the American bits of “A Study in Scarlet”, starring Watson without Holmes. This was going to be Dexter-style serial killer!John and enabler!Sherlock, set during the beginning of A Scandal in Belgravia after the pool scene.
( It was the muffled scream coming from upstairs that drew Sherlock's attention before he went in to 221B. )

Notes: For the record, I started this when the first trailer and promo images and spoilers came out for No Time to Die way back in the before times. It was originally planned to be a longer story, ending with Bond telling Olivia Mansfield the truth and then retiring, but the muse has run out of steam and I think it works as a short story.
( Safin stopped the inevitable monologue and pointed the gun right at Bond’s head. He was close enough James could see inside the barrel, but not close enough to wrestle the gun away without getting shot, either by Safin or the men who already had guns aimed at Bond’s back. )

Notes: Not beta'd. Wrote most of this yesterday, woohoo! I'm just really glad to write something and finish it. Title's a bit cliche but much better than I had last night (I blame sleep deprivation). AU of Han and Kylo's confrontation on StarKiller Base in TFA. Starts just when Kylo ignites his lightsaber. Warning, I haven't watched TFA in ages, so let's just pretend it all matches up.

Notes: Spring cleaning of the WIP folder. Wrote this years ago, circa BSG S3. I had intended it to be longer, with Apollo settling into Atlantis and eventually connecting back with the fleet, but this is as far as I got (or will ever get). This takes place in that one universe where Vala didn’t show up and Daniel made his ride on the Daedalus.
( Apollo knew immediately it was a mistake. The silver, dart-like ship handled better in upper atmosphere than his viper did. This time, when the weapons locked on, he didn't have enough time to get completely out of the way. )

Watching Iron Man 2 (yes, I'm just now getting around to the Marvel-verse movies, I'm behind the times, I know) and having '80s flashbacks. Did whomever wrote the score rip from Gorky Park's "Bang" at several points? I noticed it the first time in one of the scenes in Tony's lab.
